STREET

For me street photography is a craft that’s best practiced alone. I usually need personal space to find my inner quiet. This introspection helps me to appraise the scene, find the light and visualise motion as a two dimensional still image. Much of the time I’m more like a fisherman perched on the end of jetty than a hunter who tracks and stalks their prey. For me it’s rarer still to stumble upon a scene, see an approaching subject and put the viewfinder to my eye. This photograph is one such exception.
